One TikTok user, known as Old Foul Dude, recognizes this need and created a heartfelt video aimed at providing some fatherly advice to those who might need it.
On his TikTok page, Old Foul Dude delivers a touching message, though he does use a bit of strong language. The video begins with him looking directly into the camera, giving it a personal, FaceTime-like feel as he speaks.
“Hey, sweetheart, I know things are tough right now. I know you’re exhausted, and you might feel like crying. You’re tempted to give up, but that’s not who you are,” he begins.
He continues by expressing his pride in the viewer, saying, “I’m proud of the person you are. I’m proud of the mother you are. I’m proud of your strength and how you fight for your family every single day.”
Although it might seem unusual for some to find comfort in words from a stranger, everyone deserves to feel valued and loved, even if it comes from a dad online. Since we don’t always get to choose our families or the time we have with our parents, hearing someone express pride can be incredibly fulfilling.
