Dad Records Baby’s Sounds for a Year to Create Epic Cover of AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’

Few things bring as much joy to a parent’s heart as a baby’s adorable sounds. But when one dad with a creative vision spends a whole year recording those sounds and turns them into a spot-on cover of a rock classic… well, that’s next-level parenting.

Video editor Matt MacMillan took snippets of his baby’s coos, sneezes, and babbles and meticulously pieced them together to recreate AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.” The result? A hilariously impressive, must-see musical masterpiece.

Baby Ryan’s ‘Thunderstruck’ Cover Is Pure Genius

The level of detail is mind-blowing—MacMillan even turned a sneeze into a cymbal crash. No autotune, no pitch-shifting, just a dad with a keen ear and an incredible amount of patience. The internet, of course, was obsessed:

🗣️ “Ryan becomes the vocalist of AB/CD.”
🗣️ “This guy had a kid just to make this song. What a legend.”
🗣️ “Other parents: ‘I want my child to create masterpieces.’ This guy: ‘My child IS the masterpiece.’”

How He Did It—And Why It’s Even More Impressive

MacMillan didn’t just record random baby noises and tweak them to fit. Instead, he spent hours organizing them by pitch, figuring out which ones matched the melody, and manually assembling the song. He even had to teach himself the notes of Thunderstruck since he doesn’t read music.

This isn’t his first baby-sound masterpiece, either—he previously did a stunning baby-sound cover of Carol of the Bells, proving that his creativity knows no bounds.

A Viral Hit That’s Pure Joy

MacMillan’s hard work has paid off with millions of views and countless smiles. Baby Ryan may not remember his rock star debut, but he’s got one heck of a baby book entry.
