Veterinary clinics handle a wide range of cases, treating all sorts of animals, and sometimes, that means dealing with people who bring in wildlife that doesn't actually need medical attention. Walter Brown, a vet tech at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, has a knack for combining his veterinary expertise with humor. Known as “Skinni,” he uses social media to share entertaining yet educational videos about pet care.
One of his viral videos, shared on Facebook over Memorial Day weekend, has garnered more than 1.7 million views. In it, he humorously advises people to leave baby wildlife alone during nature hikes, urging them not to bring in animals like “chirrin” (his playful take on “children”) that don’t need human intervention.
In his post, Brown jokingly writes, “Let me nip dis one in da bud too…..leave these wild animals chirrin alone,” before offering some sound advice. His comedic style isn't limited to wildlife—he recently shared another video where he humorously warns pet owners in the South not to run with Nordic or Brachycephalic breed dogs in the heat.
Walter Brown’s witty public service announcements are becoming a fan favorite, and many are hoping that more informative messages like these will come from him in the future.
